Cheer Line FAQ

Can I bring my dog?

DO NOT bring your dog to the cheer line and no dogs are allowed inside Husky Stadium.

Will any food and beverage be provided?

No, please plan to bring your own coffee, water or snacks, but be advised that there are not many restrooms available along the line.

Are there any restrooms along the cheerline?

Restrooms will be available at the Husky Union Building and porta-potties will be available outside Husky Stadium near the light rail station.

How can I get to my spot on the line?

Limebikes will be available in key locations throughout campus and free codes will be available to ride to your spot on the line.  You can always walk and should not find yourself walking more than a mile from any parking or public transit location.

What can I bring to the cheer line?

If you will be going inside Husky Stadium for the Opening Ceremony please bring only clear bags.  All other bags must be checked or returned to your vehicle.

What is the timing of the cheer line?

The athletes will begin leaving the residence halls at 9:30am.  We estimate that it will take 4,000 athletes and coaches approximately 75 minutes to complete the walk and fill Alaska Airlines Arena where they will gather for the coach’s rally.

There will be approximately an hour between the end of the cheer line and the beginning of pre-show entertainment inside Husky Stadium which begins at 12 noon.  You will be able to enter the stadium anytime after 11am but will find yourself with enough time to take a food break on University Avenue, return to your vehicle or visit the Fan Zone.

What about parking?

Parking is $6 all day in E18, the large lot on the East side of Husky Stadium. You can also choose to park in the underground lots or other surface lots on the University of Washington campus.  There is no free parking provided for Cheer Line guests.
