WHY BE AN AMBASSADOR? I rowed at the University of Washington and this community has always been really good to me. I grew up here. I feel like in the position I’m in now I should be willing to help.

ON COMPETING AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL: I hope the athletes enjoy it. It’s an incredible feeling. Every time you get to the start line and they call your name you get chills. It’s a life journey and your goal is to get to the highest level and compete.

ON THE 2018 US SPECIAL OLYMPICS GAMES IN SEATTLE: This place is a rabid sports city. We have lots of people who are into lots of different sports. People are going to love this event.

WHAT SEATTLE SPOT SHOULD PEOPLE VISIT? Try to get out on Lake Washington on a sunny day. See Mt. Rainier. See Mt. Baker. Soak it all in.
