WHY BE AN AMBASSADOR? You can’t help but get hooked within minutes of being around these athletes. There’s so much joy in the competition.

ADVICE FOR COMPETING AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL: Have fun. It seems like it’s got to be deeper than that, but no. If you’re having fun you're competing well and giving an honest effort. Enjoy all of the events but have fun in your competition.

ON THE IMPACT OF THE GAMES IN SEATTLE: It’s going to open eyes. There will be so many great stories and I think Seattle fans will enjoy it. I think awareness and appreciation will both be great positives.

WHAT SEATTLE SPOT SHOULD PEOPLE VISIT? I met Patty (my wife of 28 years) in an elevator in the Space Needle. So that’s number one for me.
