RESUME: Head coach for 17 years in the NFL including 10 with Seattle. Coached Green Bay to the Super Bowl title in 1997 and took Seattle to Super Bowl XL in 2006.

WHY BE AN AMBASSADOR? I got involved with Special Olympics a couple years ago. They do wonderful work for so many people and to be involved in some small way was an easy call.

ADVICE FOR COMPETITORS: Understand what you’ve already accomplished in getting there. Absolutely enjoy the journey and if you win an event or place high in an event that’s frosting on the cake. Just getting there is quite an accomplishment. So have fun.

ON THE IMPACT OF THE GAMES IN SEATTLE: In my time here Seattle as a community has always shown tremendous generosity. Not just finances but also emotional generosity. This event is just right in our city’s wheelhouse in my opinion. The city will roll out the red carpet and it will be a great, great event.

WHAT SEATTLE SPOT SHOULD PEOPLE VISIT? Get outside, take a walk, and enjoy the beautiful natural sights we’re so lucky to have.
