Port of Seattle, King County Metro and Sound Transit to Announce Support for 2018 Special Olympics USA Games
SEATTLE – With less than 60 days until the Opening Ceremony at Husky Stadium on July 1, momentum and excitement continue to build for the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games in Seattle. Key to the execution of the 2018 USA Games will be its partnerships with public agencies.
At a press conference on Wednesday, May 9, at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, the Port of Seattle, King County Metro and Sound Transit will announce the specifics around their support for the 2018 USA Games and the thousands of athletes, coaches, families and fans who will gather in the Puget Sound region.
2018 USA Games President Beth Knox will be on hand along with Port Commission President Courtney Gregoire; King County Metro General Manager Rob Gannon; and Jackie Martinez-Vasquez, Director of Equal Employment Opportunity, Equity and Inclusion for Sound Transit. Jordan Babineaux, 2018 USA Games Ambassador and Seahawks Legend, will emcee.

Sea-Tac Airport, Conference Center International A Room, mezzanine level at the south end of the airport.
- Take the stairs or elevator to The Conference Center directly behind the international ticket counters. Reception area is at the top of the stairs, through the double glass doors on your left.
- Limited parking is available for media on the north end of the lower drive; others use general airport parking garage.
