WHY DID YOU WANT TO BE AN AMBASSADOR? It’s such a great thing to give athletes of all different abilities the chance to compete and represent themselves, and their families. I’m a teacher and I’ve worked with special needs students and there’s nothing more rewarding in my life than that.
WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR ATHLETES? The noise can be distracting so I always focus on the job at hand. Go step by step. Stay in the moment and work on your focus.
HOW WILL SEATTLE REACT TO THE GAMES? I don't know if there’s a better city to have these games. There’s going to be big crowds and it’s going to be such a positive experience for the athletes. Seattle people are so kind and supportive and there’s a strong sports community here. The athletes and fans are really going to enjoy it.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING TO DO IN SEATTLE? There’s not many cities in the world more beautiful than Seattle so get outdoors and enjoy this unique place. Go hiking, get on the water, and enjoy nature.
