WHY DID YOU WANT TO BE AN AMBASSADOR? Two reasons. I have a cousin who has Down Syndrome and growing up with her inspired me to work with this population in some way. Second, I thinkit’s important to recognize all athletes. Male, female, abled, disabled…whatever. It’s important to recognize all athletes who do work that inspires healthy living.

WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR THE ATHLETES? Stay focused. Sometimes the pressure can be a little hard to deal with. Whenever I had a big game I would bring it back to the reason I started playing soccer in the first place: I loved it and it was a ton of fun. So remember where you came from, remember to have fun, and let the pressure melt away.

HOW WILL SEATTLE REACT TO THE GAMES? It’s going to be awesome. Seattle is such a great sports city. People will be great hosts and hopefully they'll come out and cheer on the athletes.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING TO DO IN SEATTLE? Get on the water. Rent a boat, or a jet ski, or a paddle board and get out and enjoy it. Take advantage of all the water around Seattle.
