WHY DID YOU WANT TO BE AN AMBASSADOR? When I was asked it was something I wanted to jump right on. My mom was a foster mom to several kids with disabilities so I was around them my whole life. I started volunteering for Special Olympics in high school. So I’m thrilled to be an ambassador for the games in Seattle.

HOW WILL SEATTLE REACT TO THE USA SOG? I’ve been to a lot of Special Olympics competitions and I’ve seen how fun it is and I think Seattle fans are going to love it.

WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR THE COMPETITORS? Always compete. Come in to Seattle with a chip on your shoulder, play your sport as hard as you can and always keep having fun. You’re in this situation for a reason. Enjoy it.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING TO DO IN SEATTLE ON A DAY OFF? I love Pike Place Market. I love walking through there. And I always enjoy going to Kirkland and eating lunch or dinner right next to Lake Washington.
