WHY DID YOU WANT TO BE AN AMBASSADOR? Because the athletes have the most amazing competitive spirit. They give 100% to their sport and display such heart and determination. Also, with the games taking place in Seattle, it’s a good match. I’ll always consider Seattle home and any chance to represent it - I’m in!

ADVICE FOR ATHLETES ON COMPETING AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL: Most of all, I want the athletes to have fun! I know they will be in Seattle to compete which is an awesome accomplishment in itself, but they have to take time to enjoy the moment.

HOW WILL SEATTLE REACT TO HOSTING THE GAMES? Seattle will be proud to host the US Special Olympics Games. Seattle takes great pride in welcoming visitors and showcasing all that the city has to offer. It’s the perfect sports city.

ADVICE FOR ATHLETES ON AN OFF DAY: To take in all the wonderful sites and activities that make Seattle such an incredible city. The Space Needle, Pike’s Market, the waterfront, Kerry Park, the aquarium. I could go on and on! Also, I recommend eating some delicious seafood and hitting the variety of restaurants throughout the area. When I’m in Seattle, my favorite thing to do is hang out downtown. Do some shopping and grab a great meal.
