Eva Murrell


Eva has spent the last 10+ years working and studying in the fields of sports and recreation. Her skills and experience come from community, collegiate, professional and non-profit sports and recreation industries. She has become proficient in the areas of event and sport management, volunteer training and management, special event production, game day entertainment and much more.

Eva earned a Master's Degree in Sports Administration from Seattle University where she spent two years working in the University's Athletic Department. There she led a staff to put on all home sporting events, worked as a liaison with outside entities, planned and executed fundraising events and developed relationships with donors. She also spent time working with the Seattle Storm doing marketing and game day and special event entertainment.

Prior to gaining experiences in the collegiate and professional industries, Eva worked in both community and college level recreation. In these fields, she developed skills in partnering with community groups, building relationships with local government entities, planning and executing community events and programs, creating schedules and managing staff.

Additionally, Eva spent the 4 years prior to working on the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games with Special Olympics Washington. While working at SOWA, Eva oversaw approx. 50 leadership volunteers as well as day of event volunteers, planned and executed large scale sporting events, developed relationships with community partners and sought in kind donations. It was there she became in integral part in producing the bid for the 2018 Games and assisting with the planning and execution of the site visit that lead to Seattle becoming the winning host city.
