RESUME: Seattle Market and Washington State President, Bank of America.

WHY DID YOU WANT TO BE ON THE BOARD? The games are universally good in many ways and they bring so much joy to so many people. It’s a unique opportunity for us to connect the games to a lot of community organizations we’re already working with so it’s a perfect fit.

WHAT SPORTS DID YOU PLAY? Football, baseball, and wrestling in high school in Ohio.

WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED FROM SPORTS THAT YOU’VE APPLIED TO YOUR CAREER? How to compete, how to win, how to lose and how to trust a team. You doing your job is not enough; everyone has to do their job if you’re going to be successful. A lot of success comes from collaborating with others.

WHAT WILL THE GAMES MEAN TO THE CITY OF SEATTLE? I think it’s a perfect fit for Seattle. I think Seattle has positioned itself nationally as a leader in equality, diversity, and inclusion. The games support all the messages we put out as a community and as an ambassador for the games I want to highlight that. I think Seattle will really embrace the games and I think the event will be a huge success.

WHAT SHOULD ATHLETES SEE AND DO IN SEATTLE? It’s fun to be a tourist in this town because we have so much to offer. I love going to the waterfront. It’s a walkable city…get out and see as much as you can.
